No sign-in, but access requires a credential

Temporary email uses a mailbox credential; forwarding uses an email login. Know which process you’re using before deciding what to delete.

Choose a deletion action01 / Scope
This notice covers temporary email, email verification-code sign-in, and email forwarding on tmpsky.com. It explains the data each process needs and its limits. It doesn’t replace the privacy policies of hotels, airports, cafés, portals, or other senders.
Temporary email doesn’t require registration with a real email address; access is through a mailbox token. Verification-code sign-in is used to verify an email forwarding account. Forwarding uses aliases under that account to receive messages and send them to your sign-in email. The two messages marked “Demo” on the homepage are examples, not real messages from those brands.
A website you give a temporary address to may still store that address and related activity. Destroying a Tmpsky mailbox doesn’t retract information already submitted to a third party or automatically remove records they’ve saved.
02 / How data is used
To deliver an email to the right inbox or forward it to your chosen address, the email service needs to handle the delivery address, sender information, and message content. The table below describes how data is used for each feature. It doesn’t list device identifiers, precise location, or other items as collected facts unless verified.
| Data | Purpose | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Temporary address and mailbox credential | Identify the receiving mailbox and validate requests to read, extend, or delete it. | You can share the address with a sender; never share or disclose the full token. |
| Sender, subject, message, and attachments | Receive and display messages and provide access to available attachments. | Messages may contain personal information. Don’t use this service to store sensitive information long-term. |
| Sign-in email and verification details | Send sign-in codes, verify account access, and identify the destination for forwarded messages. | Keep control of your sign-in email. Support will never need your verification code as proof of identity. |
| Alias settings and forwarding history | Link aliases to your account, apply enable or disable settings, and show forwarding status and history. | Manage aliases, stored history, and copies in your email account separately. |
| Necessary request and access records | Handle support requests, rate limits, security investigations, and troubleshooting. | This notice doesn’t claim specific log fields or a fixed deletion schedule. Contact support if you need details. |
Forwarding delivers message content to the email provider for your sign-in address. Their retention of copies depends on their own service rules. Links and resources in messages may also lead to third parties. Check the destination before opening them, and don’t assume a link is trustworthy just because it appears in your inbox.
03 / Retention and expiration
“Tmpsky One-Hour Email” is our brand name, not a statement of the actual expiry time for each mailbox. New mailboxes currently start with a 3-hour validity period. Check the live countdown next to your address; the brand name doesn’t mean every mailbox expires after one hour.
The countdown restarts when you create or change an address. The actual expiry time appears next to it.
Selecting Extend adds 3 hours. Check the result and updated countdown to confirm it worked.
The dashboard shows recent forwarding history; it isn’t a permanent backup service.
After a temporary mailbox expires or is destroyed, its original credential no longer provides normal inbox access. Don’t expect to recover old messages by reopening the webpage. If you need more time to complete verification, return to your inbox and extend the mailbox before it expires, and read the Return to your inbox to extend first. See the validity and expiration details.
| Scope | What you can see or do | What this does not mean |
|---|---|---|
| Temporary mailbox | Use the token to receive, view, and delete messages while the mailbox is valid. Recovery after expiry isn’t guaranteed. | It doesn’t mean every infrastructure copy is erased the moment the countdown reaches zero. |
| Forwarding history | Sign in to the dashboard to view the last 30 days of records and delete history you no longer need. | It doesn’t mean forwarded messages in your email account are deleted too. |
| Operational and security records | Contact support to ask about the scope, retention, or deletion of specific records. | An email’s access period doesn’t establish when logs or system copies are deleted. |
The access period describes how long you can read data through the product; it doesn’t mean every system copy is erased at the same time. This notice doesn’t promise a specific deletion time for unverified backups, logs, or other infrastructure copies. To ask about specific data, follow the instructions at the end of this page.
04 / Browser storage
Your browser saves some feature states so you can return to the same mailbox or stay signed in after refreshing the page. These aren’t just ordinary page preferences: someone with a valid credential may be able to use it to access the associated data.
tmpsky.mailbox is used to restore your address and access your inbox. Clearing browser data may remove this key, but it doesn’t send a mailbox-destruction request to the server.tmpsky.auth.token and tmpsky.auth.email are used for the forwarding account’s sign-in state and email display. Signing out clears both from this device; it doesn’t automatically destroy a separate temporary mailbox.tmpsky.active remembers the real email currently selected. It isn’t the message content and doesn’t grant mailbox access on its own. Clearing it only resets the selection. Before leaving a shared computer at a hotel, delete any temporary messages you no longer need or destroy the mailbox, then sign out of your forwarding account. Finally, clear this site’s browser data and downloaded files. Simply closing the tab doesn’t confirm that local credentials have been removed.
Signing out mainly ends the sign-in state saved on this device. It shouldn’t be treated as revoking credentials that may have been exposed or sessions on other devices. If you think someone copied your token, don’t send it to support. Stop receiving sensitive messages in that mailbox and contact support to explain what happened.
05 / Actions you can take
Different deletion actions apply to different items. Before you act, identify whether you mean a single message, an entire temporary mailbox, a forwarding alias, or forwarding history. Afterward, check the success message and the updated list.
Open the message in your inbox and delete it. This only affects that message; the address will still receive new messages. Delete downloaded attachments and anything you saved separately from your device as well.
Destroying a mailbox applies to the entire old mailbox. Changing the address creates a new mailbox and invalidates the old address. Save anything you need first. Once the action succeeds, don’t use the old address with authentication portals.
In the forwarding dashboard disable an alias to stop messages from being forwarded while it’s disabled, or delete it to remove the alias. Neither action automatically clears all stored history or recalls messages already forwarded to your real email account.
Check the subject, sender, and date in the dashboard history before deleting specific records. If you use the option to clear everything, first check what it covers. Copies in your email account, downloads on your device, and information saved by third parties must be handled separately in the relevant locations.
Stopping use of the service, signing out, or clearing local storage shouldn’t be treated as a request to delete your account. To manage account-related data, or if the interface doesn’t offer the deletion option you need, contact support with a specific request. Don’t repeatedly create new accounts in an attempt to overwrite old data.
If you need to keep receiving future notifications, first read how temporary email differs from email forwarding. We don’t recommend using an expiring address for important financial or medical accounts, or accounts you may need to recover long-term.
06 / Contact and requests
For questions about this notice or requests to access or delete specific data, contact support@tmpsky.com. Tell us whether you used temporary email or forwarding, what action was involved, when it happened, and what you’d like us to address.
Don’t send sign-in codes, authenticator codes, full tokens, or sensitive email content unrelated to your request. Redact these details from screenshots. For account-related requests, we recommend writing from the associated sign-in email so we can verify the account link. We’ll never ask you to provide a verification code or full token.
To avoid disclosing data to someone who isn’t authorized to access it, we may need to verify your relationship to the relevant account or data before handling a request. What we can do also depends on whether the data can still be located and on applicable requirements. This page doesn’t promise immediate deletion or a fixed response time where we can’t verify those details.
For usage restrictions and service limits, also read the Terms of Service. When this notice is updated, the new update date will appear at the top of the page so you can check that you’re viewing the current version.
